چکیده

Abstract Background The aim of the study was to conduct a meta-analysis evaluate accuracy neutrophil CD64, procalcitonin (PCT), and interleukin-6 (IL-6) as markers for diagnosis sepsis in adult patients. Methods Various databases were searched collect published studies on patients using PCT, IL-6 levels. Utilizing Stata SE 15.0 software, forest plots area under summary receiver operating characteristic curves drawn. pooled sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio, negative diagnostic odds curve (AUC) calculated. Results Fifty-four articles included study. AUC CD64 0.88 (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.81–0.92), CI, 0.83–0.91), 0.94 0.91–0.96), respectively. PCT 0.82 0.78–0.85), 0.78 0.74–0.82), 0.87 0.83–0.89), Subgroup analysis showed that intensive care unit (ICU) 0.86 0.83–0.89) non-ICU 0.78–0.85). 0.72 0.65–0.78), 0.70 0.62–0.76), 0.77 0.73–0.80), Conclusions Of three biomarkers studied, highest value sepsis, followed by IL-6. On other hand, better potential with severe conditions compared non-severe conditions.

Neutrophil CD64 expression as a diagnostic marker for sepsis in adult patients: a meta-analysis

INTRODUCTION Neutrophil CD64 (nCD64) expression appears to be a promising marker of bacterial infections. The aim of this meta-analysis was to assess the accuracy of nCD64 expression for the diagnosis of sepsis in critically ill adult patients. METHODS We systematically searched PubMed, Embase, ISI Web of Knowledge, and the Cochrane Library for literature published between database inception ...

Neutrophil CD64 as a diagnostic marker for neonatal sepsis: Meta-analysis.

BACKGROUND Neutrophil CD64 (nCD64) is a promising marker for diagnosing bacterial infections. Several studies have investigated the performance of nCD64 for diagnosing neonatal sepsis and the results are variable. Interest in nCD64 for detecting serious bacterial infections is increasing rapidly. OBJECTIVES The aim of the present study was to carry out a meta-analysis to systematically evalua...

Neutrophil CD64 as a diagnostic marker of sepsis in neonates.

BACKGROUND Sepsis in neonates hospitalized in the neonatal intensive care unit is a global problem and is a significant contributor to morbidity and mortality. Neutrophil surface CD64, the high-affinity Fc receptor, is quantitatively up-regulated during infection and sepsis. OBJECTIVE Our goal in this prospective study was to measure the neutrophil CD64 in blood as an adjunct to our previousl...

Meta-analysis of diagnostic accuracy of neutrophil CD64 for neonatal sepsis

BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to systematically evaluate the diagnostic performance of nCD64 for neonatal sepsis. METHODS Computer retrieval was conducted for the databases of PubMed, Embase, and Springer databases up to March 18, 2015 to select the relevant studies on nCD64 and neonatal sepsis. Sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio (PLR), negative likelihood ratio (NLR),...

Erratum to: ‘Neutrophil CD64 expression as a diagnostic marker for sepsis in adult patients: a meta-analysis’

Unfortunately, the original version of this article [1] contained an error. A sentence in the statistical analysis section was written incorrectly. It was written wrongly as: “If there was significant heterogeneity, we choose a fixed model; if there was no heterogeneity, we choose a random model.” The correct form of this sentence is: “If there was significant heterogeneity, we choose a random ...
